After a description of the impact of industrial production on the environment technical measures for first protection are described. End of pipe techniques, which consist of a treatment of emitted streams (e.g. air, water, solid waste) are examined in a number of examples. The second part of the course deals with production integrated environmental protection measures. Principles, practice and problems of prevention, recycling and secondary raw material use of emissions are described.
An excursion and guest lectures give an understanding of the interface between practice and theory.
